Yachting has become one of the most practical and popular ways to spend a Holiday in Turkey, and Turkey has become an up and coming area for yachting Holidays.

The Turkish Coast offers guaranteed sunshine and crystal clear turquoise waters, as well as a variety of ancient ruins for the lovers of history and archeology, villages for a taste of folklore; secluded bays for those days one feels like being alone with nature; resort towns for shopping and nights out. All this combined with the sports of fishing, swimming, sailing and water skiing. The extensive Aegean and Mediterranean Coasts of Turkey are still unspoilt and startling with natural beauty in many different settings.

The hand made wooden boats are almost an art of the past and their hulls of Mediterranean pine melt into the scenery and atmosphere of the surroundings. The yachts for these cruises are generally constructed in Bodrum in the traditional Ketch, Cutter and Caiques styles. The vast deck space provides out of door sleeping space on warm nights under the stars. Maximum attention has been paid to interior ventilation. The yachts have sleeping accommodation for up to 16 persons in double cabins with private sanitary facilities. The crew consists of a captain, first mate/cook and assistant. They are all Turkish, but at least one speaks English. All these yachts are equipped with fishing nets, fishing lines, dingy Swimming fins, masks and snorkels for the use of passengers on board at no extra cost.

An alternative to chartering an entire boat is to join one of the regular departures and charter one cabin. All cabin charter cruises begin and end at many Aegean and Mediterranean coastal resorts and they are mainly scheduled to depart on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season
