Winter resorts in Turkey are generally located in forested mountains of average altitude.

BURSA - ULUDAĞ; Most popular amongst Turkish skiers, at 1900 m high. A wide range of accommodation and après-ski facilities are available. The popularity brings the high standards to this ski resort. Almost all hotels have their own ski lifts.

BOLU - KARTALKAYA; situated on the Istanbul-Ankara Highway, surrounded by pine trees, 2200m high.

ERZURUM - PALANDÖKEN; 6 km from Erzurum town center, lying at an altitude of 3000 m with some of the longest and most difficult courses and best snow conditions in Turkey.

ANTALYA - SAKLIKENT; only 50 km from the golden sand beach Antalya, at a height of 2000 m. The special attraction of this resort Is that in March and April one can ski in the mornings and drive down to the coast to swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea in the afternoons.

GÜMÜŞHANE - ZIGANA; this center is 30 km from Gümüşhane, and Lies at an altitude of 1870 m above a pine forested valley. There is a Ski lift, cafeteria and a restaurant. The season is from December to April.

KARS - SARIKAMIŞ; situated near KARS at 2250 m, this ski center also has good courses and ideal snow conditions, the area is also noted for its hunting. One can stay in the town itself or at the 60 bed capacity centrally heated ski lodge with ski lift. Ski instructors are available.

KAYSERI - ERCIYES; this Ski center lies at 2150 m on the eastern face of mount Erciyes, 25 km from Kayseri. The season is from November to May and there are a 135 bed capacity ski lodge and good courses, a ski lift and baby lift, ski instructors and equipment are available.
